An exotic fish would be cool! Snakes are really hard to take care of. If they have enough responsibility mamby even a small bird.
Even a frog or a rabbit.
Rats are really smart and easy to take care of too.

A rock or a stuffed animal because those are the only pets we as internet strangers know for sure that you, as an internet stranger who has given us know idea what kind of care you'd be able to give, would be able to care for.

Snakes are very high maintenence pets, and it takes A LOT of money, time and responsibility to take care of them. Green Anole's (which is a lizard) are a good reptile if you are wanting an easier reptile to take care of, plus they are pretty cheap. Firebelly newts and frogs are really good too. I've had just about every reptile, rodent, fish, and bird. A snake would probably not be the best choice for a 14 year old. But whatever you do, do NOT get a chameleon, they are probably one of the hardest pets to take care of. They die easily (usually within weeks of buying them because of their sensitivity and immunity to illness) , most of them are extremely aggresive, they are very expensive to take care of, just whatever you do don't get one haha

Iguana's are cool, they are reptiles, but you can get them out and play with them. Then can get huge though. My family knew someone with a 4 foot long one. I have Guinea pigs, they are wonderful pets too!
